Recently, I signed up for Microsoft's BizSpark program. It's a way to startup a business with help from Microsoft and various businesses. My BizSpark idea is to create web applications based on SQL Server and ASP .NET so that business users can log into and use software over the internet that is helpful in their everyday business needs. The internet today is so fast and efficient that old windows based programs (winforms) are obsolete for the most part. With the combination of ASP .NET and a database, almost any winforms application can be duplicated and updates can be performed at a time when usage is light on the web server. No user interaction is required to update or patch the application, just a logon and the updated application would be presented to the user in the next session.
